After disclosing the challenging preparation that went into Leeds United’s 3-0 victory at Cardiff City, Daniel Farke has showered his team with praise. Few who witnessed the game would contest Farke’s assessment of Leeds’ “most mature performance of the season” in South Wales.

Thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford and Dan James, the Whites led 2-0 at the half. Georginio Rutter’s late goal with two minutes remaining gave the game even more sparkle. The game’s interrupted build-up was concealed by the performance; Farke disclosed that the team had practiced with just 16 players in the days before the game as a result of injuries and departures.

Even while that might have been the case, the team that was chosen more than proved their worth by putting on an incredible show that made the usually austere boss smile, It was, in my opinion, our most polished performance of the year. Although we’ve had amazing home performances, Cardiff is a challenging place to visit, so all in all, I’m rather pleased. We kept them completely silent,” Farke remarked.

“The victory was always certain, and I was particularly happy with the control. Sometimes it’s easy to get carried away when you’re ahead 2-0, but we didn’t let up.
