KEY POINTS

  •  Saudi Arabia may be interested in buying Casemiro and Raphael Varane from Manchester United this summer.
  •  It is nearly a certain that Liverpool will get a Saudi offer for Mohamed Salah.
  •  Amidst interest from the Saudi Pro League, Kevin De Bruyne’s future at Manchester City is also in doubt.

Saudi Arabian clubs are set to chase a number of Premier League talents, including Raphael Varane and Casemiro of Manchester United.

If you have been closely following the rumors, you have probably seen that some big Premier League names could be leaving us come summertime.

As they spend more money, the threat of Saudi Arabian money is set to become more significant, and other prominent athletes have their own personal goals to consider.

Here, we analyze a few of the transfer conundrums that will still be present at the end of the season.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool last year rejected the thought of their star player signing a £150 million contract to move to Al-Ittihad, but they should prepare for another Saudi approach in the near future.

In the Saudi Pro League, Salah—a 31-year-old Egyptian superstar who would match Cristiano Ronaldo in status as well as pay—is viewed as the perfect acquisition.

Salah is a tremendous draw in this market, and rumour has it that an offer will almost certainly be made for him after this Premier League season concludes.

Liverpool will have a difficult choice to make since, should they sell a player they bought for £43 million in 2017, they will reap significant financial rewards and free up funds for their own payroll.

That may be helpful at a time when players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk require better contracts, and the manager who replaces Jurgen Klopp may also relish the opportunity to bring in a big name of his own.

It is not ideal to lose Salah. Although Liverpool does not want this to occur, this will be their final chance to get mega-money for him because his contract expires in 2025.

Kevin De Bruyne

The Manchester City player is rumored to be leaving for the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer, which is an extremely odd departure.

When it comes to leading Manchester City and creating unbelievable passes and goals, De Bruyne remains the finest at what he does.

However, as he approaches his 32nd birthday, the defending Premier League winners may start to consider his future, particularly because his contract expires in 2025.

Although there’s a good probability De Bruyne will stay with the team longer, bids should be made for him in the summer.

Although he declined the opportunity to relocate to Al Hilal last year, he has consistently shown a greater willingness to consider the possibility of playing in the US. This is definitely one to watch.

Sterling Raheem

At the end of this season, the Saudi sharks will be surrounding Stamford Bridge in an attempt to sign Sterling.

There was no reality to the rumors that circulated recently about this move, according to people close to the athlete.

However, there is a sincere desire to try to sign Sterling, and the exciting aspect will be dual: will they be able to get Sterling to change his mind? Does Chelsea want to sell?

Even if Sterling does decide to leave Chelsea, there are rumors that he is not interested in a Saudi pay day. However, sources currently claim that the Blues may consider offers for the forward during the summer.

Bruno Guimaraes

Paris Saint-Germain is aware of his £100 million release clause and is closely monitoring his status.

Even though they really don’t want to lose Guimaraes, Newcastle United may have to think about selling players in the summer because he is the one who could get the most salary.

Personally, he is content with his life with the Toon and would want to be the one to guide them to the silverware. However, if Newcastle is unable to meet his goals, PSG might become an even bigger draw.

Kieran Trippier

As Bayern Munich chased him in January, he was the subject of unexpected rumors. For a little second, it appeared as though a move from Newcastle would actually occur, and insiders think the rumors about Trippier may not end.

Although a move to Bayern may not be imminent, the 33-year-old right-back may still be available this time around because other teams also think highly of him.

Richardson
Although there are still concerns about the Tottenham Hotspur striker staying, he has begun to live up to his significant move from Everton this season.

In 2022, Richarlison was valued at £60 million, and Spurs would likely pursue the transaction if they could recoup their investment.

Right now, the only way that may happen is if a Saudi Arabian team decides to sign him; rumors have it that they are considering doing so.

Casemiro

Although Casemiro’s output has decreased this season, he has been crucial in assisting Kobbie Mainoo in adjusting to a first-team role.

But for the £350,000-a-week Brazilian at Manchester United, the writing is on the wall, and a move to Saudi Arabia is likely.

They think he would be a fantastic addition to the group of Brazilians they have already established in the Saudi Pro League because of his amazing profile and style of play.

Rafael Varane

At the moment, it appears that his expertise will be crucial in getting Manchester United over a tough patch, and he is having a strong run of games as a starter.

However, there is serious thought being given to selling him, and that will be further assessed come summertime. Reducing Varane’s £340,000-per-week salary might help the Red Devils, who are hoping to add five major acquisitions for the upcoming campaign, strengthen their defensive lines.

Saudi Arabia is interested in him, although it has also been suggested that he might rejoin Lens in France.
