“We were up against a really well-organized Nigerian team, and although we controlled the game for the most part, we eventually looked vulnerable.

He continued by saying that the competition serves as a learning experience for his young players, some of whom he believes have great future potential. reminding the Cameroonian people that he is assembling a new team.

Today, we entered a young team in a competition.

Some players are just getting started. We are the ones that give the enemy the chance to cause us problems. As I have stated previously, we are currently rebuilding.

“We’re going to develop; this is football.” Competitors compete in the AFCON on all fronts—technical, tactical, and primarily mental. We’ve demonstrated to today’s youth that we still have a lot to learn,” he said.

Ademola Lookman’s brace helped Nigeria advance to the quarterfinals.
